Identification of urea in the mammal urine -

• Required things :

Test tube, dropper,urine sample, sodium hypobromite solution.

• Procedure :

- Take 2 ml of urine sample in the test tube.

- Take a little amount of sodium hypobromite solution in the dropper and add few drops of sodium hypobromite solution in the previous test tube with the help of the dropper.

Observation :

- A little amount of nitrogen is generated from the test tube after adding the sodium hypobromite solution.

Conclusion :

The urine sample contains urea.
