prove that n^2 - n is divisible by 2 for every positive integer n

n^2 -n = n(n-1) now for this to be divisible by 2, either n or (n-1) should be an even number. taking n as an odd number, (n-1) becomes an even number this divisible by 2. if n is an even number, the number is anyway divisible by 2.
