Prove that on dividing the polynomial 4x + 3x2 + 2x -9 by X-1 the remainder is zero.​

ANSWER

remember the form

dividend = divisor × quotient + remainder

putting values

4x3-3x2+2x-9 = divisor × (x-1) + remainder

put x = 1

we get remainder = 0
