We know that pressure (p)=force (F)/area(A)
now force=mass(m) x acceleration due to gravity(g)
thus we get p = mg/A...... (1)
but we know that density(d)=mass(m)/volume(v) or, mass(m)= density(d) x volume(v)
now putting value of m in (1)
we get, p=d x v x g / A OR, P=d x g x A x h / A
[because we know volume (v)= area(A) xheight(h) ]
the A get crossed out from numerator and denominator
thus we get P=hdg
HENCE, PROVED.. .
