let s be the circle with center o
let AB be the chord in it
join OM where M is the point where radius and chord intersect
join OA and OB
then show the triangles are congruent
so ∠OMA = ∠OMB
let this both angles be x
there sum is 180 because angle on straight line
2x=180
x=90
therefore radius bisect chord ⊥
hence proved
