Root5 is an irrational no. Because root 5=2.23606798... It's repeating means it is non- terminating and non- recurring no.
And non-terminating numbers are counted in irrational numbers
Irrational no. Are those which cannot be write in the form of p/q, where p and q are integers and q not equal to 0
But root 5 cannot be written in the form of p/q..

Hence, root5 is an irrational no.
