Therefore,

Taking square root on both sides

We get,

1+tan = sec

Hence,

sec - tan =1

to prove :- sec - tan = 1

solve LHS...

=1/cos - sin/cos

= 1-sin/cos

= cos/cos (1-sin = cos )
