Given that sec a -1/ sec a +1 =1-cos a/ 1+ cos a
to prove LHS=RHS
now, sec a = 1/ cos a
so, (1/cos a-1) / (1/cos a+ 1)
==( 1-cos a/ cos a) / (1+cos a /cos a)
== 1-cos a / 1+cos a = RHS
to prove LHS=RHS
now, sec a = 1/ cos a
so, (1/cos a-1) / (1/cos a+ 1)
==( 1-cos a/ cos a) / (1+cos a /cos a)
== 1-cos a / 1+cos a = RHS
