Prove that sin(90-a)=cos a

Answer:

if we draw a quadrant then y axis is a change line on which the functions get changed to their complementary function

sin to cos

tan to cot

sec to cosec

so 90 degree sin is on y axis so it will change to its complementary function that is cos a

hence by complementary functions sin(90-a)=cosa

it becomes easy after u study trigonometry chapter of 11th (iit or college doesn't matter )

u can take it this way :-

sin(90-a)=sin90cosa-cos90sina by using formula

=cosa-0

=cos a.
