LHS

=sin a -2sin ^3 a/ 2cos^3 a + cos a
=sin a (1-2sin^2a)/ cos a ( 2cos2a+1)
=sin a/cos a × 1-2sin2a/2cos2a+1
=tan a × 2(1-sin2a)/2(1-sin2 a)+1
=tana ×1/1
=tan a=RHS

it will help you...
