(As tan q =sinq/cos q)

so,sin^2q/cosq+cosq

On taking L.C.M.

we get,

sin^2q+cos^2q/cos q

which is equal to 1/cos q

(As sin^2q+cos^2q=1)

so we get 1/cosq which is equal to sec q
