prove that sin x/ sec x +Tanx -1 + cosx/cosecx +cotx -1 = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Convert the denominator to cos terms.

2. Further add the terms in the denominator.

3. Take SinxCosx ( or Sin theta cos theta as I have done) common from the whole expression

4. Take the LCM of the terms and bring the like terms together for further evaluation.

5.  Multiply the terms in the denominator and simplify.

6.  Replace sin2θ + cos2θ=  1

7. LHS=RHS

Anonymous: nice answer ! I then the question should have been like : sin x/( sec x +Tanx -1 )+ cosx/(cosecx +cotx -1) = 1 ....the brackets were'nt there thats why i could not have solved .
