(cos 150° + sin 150°)² bisa kita uraikan sebagai berikut

(cos 150° + sin 150°)²

=cos²150° + 2 cos 150° sin 150°+sin²150°

=cos²150° + sin²150° + 2 cos 150° sin 150°

menurut identitas trigonometri dimana

cos²x+sin²x=1 maka cos²150° + sin²150°=1. sehingga,

(cos 150° + sin 150°)²

= 1 + 2 cos 150° sin 150° ,(dimana (2 cos 150° sin 150°=sin 2(150°)=sin 300°)

= 1 + sin 300°

= 1+ sin (360-60) karena ada di kuadran 4, maka sin (360-60)=(-sin60)=-\frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}−
