Prove that sum of first n natural numbers is divisible by n+1

This sum is of Arithematic Progression

therefore, a=1
d=2-1=1

by the formula Sn= n/2 (2a+(n-1)d)

put the values of a and d

u will get answer as Sn= n/2 (n+1)

thus when we divide it by (n+1)

we get the answer as n/2

thus sum first n natural numbers are divisible by n+1 .
