Prove that sum of interior angles in a square is 360°

Let us use the formula:-

  • (N - 2) × 180

  • Where N is number of sides

Let us solve:-

 \sf(4 - 2) \times 180

 \sf \to(4 - 2) \times 180

 \sf \to2 \times 180

 \sf \to360 \degree

Draw one of it's diagonals.

Now the quadrilateral is divided into 2 triangles.

Now in triangle ABD

1 + 2 + 3 = 180°

In triangle BCD

4 + 5 + 6 = 180°

So 1+2+3+4+5+6 = 360°

= A + B + C + D = 360°

Hence proved
