let the number = x

second number = x+1

third number = x+2

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 6 \\ 3 + 3 = 6 \\ 3x = 6 - 3 \\ 3x = 3 \\ x =  \frac{3}{3}  = 1  \\ x = 1

1st no.=1
2nd no.=1+1=2
3rd no.=1+2=3

consecutive no. 1+2+3=6
