Surface area of a sphere = 4πr2

Curved Surface area =2πrh

To prove,

S.C.A of sphere = C. S. A os cylinder.

4πr2 =2πrh

4r = 2h

2r = h.

Now, replace h = 2r,i.e

4πr2 = 2πr x 2r

4πr2 = 2π x 2r2

4πr2 = 4πr2

S.C.A of sphere = C.S.A of cylinder
