Answer:

tanø-cotø=sinø/cosø – cosø/sinø

=(sinø.sinø – cosø.cosø)/(sinø.cosø)

=(sin²ø – cos²ø)/(sinø.cosø)

=(sin²ø – (1-sin²ø))/(sinø.cosø)

=(sin²ø – 1 +sin²ø)/(sinø.cosø)

=(2sin²ø – 1)/(sinø.cosø)

 \tan(a)  =  \frac{ \sin(a) }{ \cos(a) }

 \cot(a)  =  \frac{ \cos(a) }{ \sin(a) }

 {sin}^{2}a +  {cos}^{2} a = 1
