Answer:

Hi there, dude/dudette

Given : Right angled unit Triangle ABC with angle B = 90 degrees and theta as A.

To prove : tan45 = 1

Note : draw a triangle of the above measurements for convenience. I couldn't attach the image.

we know that tan theta = BC/AB

tan 45 = 1/1 (considering that it is a unit triangle with sides equal to 1cm)

tan45 = 1

hence proved.

\implies \tan{(45^°)} \,=\, \dfrac{QR}{PR}

because tan (45°)= Length of opposite side/Length of Adjacent side

When angle of right triangle is  45  degrees, the length of opposite side is exactly equal to the length of adjacent side. In this case, the length of both opposite side and adjacent side is denoted by  l

.

\implies \tan{(45^°)} \,=\, \dfrac{l}{l}

\implies \tan{(45^°)} \,=\, \require{cancel} \dfrac{\cancel{l}}{\cancel{l}}

\,\,\, \therefore \,\,\,\,\,\, \tan{(45^°)} \,=\, 1
