To Prove

→ (tan∅ + sec∅ - 1)/(tan∅ - sec∅ + 1) = (1 + sin∅)/cos∅

Proof

(Given in the attachment)

Procedure

Identities used in solution

  • tan∅ = sin∅/cos∅

  • sec∅ = 1/cos∅

  • (sin∅ + 1)² = sin²∅ + 1 + 2sin∅

  • (sin∅ + cos∅) = sin²∅ + cos²∅ + 2sin∅cos∅

  • sin²∅ + cos²∅ = 1

  • cos²∅ = (1 - sin²∅)

Since we got L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence Proved
