E stands for the energy of the object in question.

m stands for it's mass, and

c stands for the speed of light in vacuum,

( which is: c = 2.99792458 108 m/s )

It is the theory of special relativity that shows that the increased relativistic mass (m) of a body comes from the energy of motion of the body—that is, its kinetic energy (E)—divided by the speed of light squared (c2).
