Let there be a triangle ABC

GIVEN: ABC IS A TRIANGLE WITH SIDES AB AND AC EQUAL.

CONSTRUCTION: ANGLE BISECTOR OF ANGLE A. (Name it as AD)

Proof:

In triangles ABD and ACD,
The side AD is common
AB=AC
Angle BAD= ANGLE CAD

So the triangles ABD and ACD are congruent using the SAS property.

So you can tell that Angle B IS EQUAL TO Angle C.

Hence proved.....
