Prove that the area of a rhombus is equal to half the area of the rectangle contained by its diagonals.

okay check this one,

ar(rhoumbus) = 1/2 x d1 x d2 ~ i

we say that, d1=l d2=b

ar(rectangle) = l x b ~ ii

from i ii

ar(rhoubus) = 1/2 x l x b

i.e, ar(rhoumbus) = 1/2 ar(rectangle)
