Actually a right angled triangle is a part of a right pallarogram ( Rectangle ) .
Also area of pallarogram is B × H
& right triangle is half of pallarogram
Therefore we write area of pallarogram as
1/2×B×H

well we already know that area of a rectangle is base * height
A rectangle is composed of two right angled triangles
therefore for one right angled triangle we are going to divide the area of a rectangle by 2
hence area of a right angled triangle is 1/2*base* height
