Prove that the diameter of circle perpendicular to one of the two parallel chords of a circle is perpendicular to the other and bisects it.

Hey mate

chord AB||chord CD

diameter PQ_|_AB

Now diameter of a circle always passes through the centre of the circle.

diameter PQ is perpendicular to AB.

but PQ perendicula to AB

and AB||CD.

PQ perpendicular to CD of CD.

Thus PQ perpendicular to CD and passes through the centre of circle.

PQ is perpendicular to bisector .
