Distributive property:

Distributive property of rational number tells us that

For three rational numbers i.e. a, b, c

         a×(b+c)=(a×b)+(a×c)a×(b−c)=(a×b)−(a×c)

Example:

1× (2+3) = (1×2) + (1×3)       5=5

1× (2−3) = (1×2) − (1×3)       -1 = -1

Hence proved that distributive property holds for rational numbers also.

Hope it helped…………
