As J(impulse delivered ) =F.∆t
and from Newton's second law F=∆p/∆t
so J=F.∆t=∆p.∆t/∆t =∆p
hope it helped !

Impulse means large force applied in short interval of time. we know, according to Newton's second law, force is equal to change in momentum per unit time . Hence, impulse received during an impact is equal to total change in momentum produced during the impact.
