When two lines intersect each other, then theopposite angles, formed due to intersection are called vertical angles or vertically opposite angles. A pair of vertically opposite angles are always equal to each other. ... And the angleadjacent to angle X will be equal to 180 – 45 = 135°.Aug 31, 2020

ANSWER

Let AB & CD be two lines

∠1+∠4=180∘ (CD is a st. line)

∠4+∠3=180∘ (AB is a st. line)

∠1+∠4=∠4+∠3

∠1=∠3 similarly ∠2=∠4

thus proved
