Prove that the perimeter of a square is less than that of an equivalent parallelogram on the same base.

BY comparing the hypotenuse of the square and parallelogram, the perimeter of square is less than that of the parallelogram. 
Although it has equivalent sides. But the base of parallelogram is also bigger than that of square
