Given a circle with centre o, tangent ab passing through the circle at p

To prove op passes through center

Construct point q1 and q2 outside the circle to ab.

Q1 and q2 are longer than the radius op of the circle ie, q1>op, q2>op.

Since this happens for every point on ab except point p, op passes through the centre.
