consider these three points to be coordinates of triangle.

area of triangle =1/2(-2(1-3)+6(3-5)+2(5-1))

=1/2(4+(-12)+8)

=(1/2)*0

=0

the area of triangle is zero which means the points do not form triangle and the points are colinear
