Given:
an electric bulb
To Prove:
The Power of an electric bulb is inversely proportional to its resistance
Solution:
We know,
By Ohm's Law:
V = I R ----------------------------(i)
also,
⇒ P = I² R -----------------------------(ii) {P = Power, R = resistance, I = Current}
now putting the value of I from Eqn (i) to Eqn (ii)
⇒ P =
⇒ P =
now, here if volatge remain constant then Power is inversely proportional to the resistance.
⇒ P ∝ 1 / R.
Hence, Proved.
