The product of two consecutive positive integer is always an even number, hence will always be divisible by 2

For eg:

3*4=12 (divisible by 2)

12*13=156 (divisible by 2)

PROOF :

Let the two consecutive numbers be n and (n+1)

Their prduct is n(n+1) = n²+n

Substitute any value of n . It will surely be divisible by 2 .

Take any positive integers of your choice .

For example , lets take 6 .

Put the value in the above equation .

6²+6 = 36+6 = 42

Which is divisible by 2

Take any other example....n try it .
