"Consider a rectifier of half-wave: VNL = Vm / pi

And,      VFL = (Vm / pi) X (RL / RL + Rf)

Therefore, Percentage regulation = (VNL – VFL / VFL) X 100%

      = [(Vm / pi) X {1 – (RL / RL + Rf)}] / {(Vm / pi) X (RL / RL + Rf)}

      = (Rf / RL) X 100%

In case of a rectifier of full-wave, VFL and VNL are doubled.

So, the regulation does not change and remains same as the above. "
