Answer:

Construction : Join AD.

Proof : ∠ADB = 90˚ (Angle of semi-circle)

In △ABD & △ACD,

AB = AC (Given)

∠ADB = ∠ADC (90˚)

AD = AD (Common)

∴ △ABD ≅ △ADC

Hence BD = DC
