Prove that two lines which are both parallel to the same line, are parallel to eachother.

Yes.According to the Euclid's postulates things which are equal to the same thing are equal to one another.So,by Euclid's postulate,the two lines are parallel to each other.

heya friend! here is your answer.


I am telling you the way how to do it.
Draw three lines perpendicular to the same line..now in ur question it is given that 2 lines are parallel to each other..all we have to do is to make one of those lines parallel to the third line. As we have made them perpendicular to the same line. we can easily prove them parallel to each other...
