Answer:

suppose \:  \sqrt{5} \:  is \: rtional \: no \: then \\  \: we \: can \: write \: i \: as \:  \frac{a}{b} \:  where \: b is not= 0 \\ and \:  {({a \: b \:} )} \:  = 1 \\

then after square of both side and solving it we will find that 5 is the another factor of (a,b) but we know already it has only one factor and that is 1

so this is wrong result because of our wrong prediction so we will say that

√5 is a irrational number ..
