Accelerating objects are objects which are changing their velocity - either the speed (i.e., magnitude of the velocity vector) or the direction. An object undergoing uniform circular motion is moving with a constant speed. Nonetheless, it is accelerating due to its change in direction.

This is due to the fact that when a body moves in a uniform motion it's speed thereby increases because the path always looks the same as it is. so if the path is the same as it is the object will be increasing its speed that is the reason behind that it's also called accelerated motion
