So V is used to represent Velocity( or as a general notion, Speed of the sound)

Now generally Speed = Distance/Time

So the Distance here is Wavelength denoted by Lambda

So substitute;

Speed = Distance/Time

Velocity(v)= Wavelength (Lambda or ∧ ) / Time

Now Frequency(n) = 1/t ( as it is the amount of time taken for one wavelength)

Therefore, Velocity(v)= Wavelength (Lambda or ∧ ) * n

Therefore (Rearrange it a bit)

v=n∧

Thassit!
