Solution:

We know that,

V = s / t

Here,

* 'V' shows that it is a velocity.

* 's' shows that it is a displacement.

* 't' shows that it is a time taken to cover any distance or displacement.

Velocity = Displacement / Time taken

Velocity = Wavelength × 1 / Time taken

Velocity, V = lemda × 1 / T

Velocity, V = lemda × f

where 'f' shows that it is a frequency.

( f = 1 / T )

Velocity, V = lemda × f

Hence proved.
