Explanation:

Here is your proof-

Let the initial velocity be u, final velocity be v, constant acceleration be a and total time taken be t.

As ACCELERATION = ∆(VELOCITY) / TIME

=> a = (v-u)/t

=> at = v - u [ multiply both sides by t]

=> at + u = v [ adding u both sides]

=> v = u + at [interchanging LHS and RHS]

Thus the VELOCITY-TIME equation..

We know acceleration (a) = rate of change of velocity

=

timeinterval

changeinvelocity

=

timeperiod

finalvelocity−initialvelocity

=

t

v−u

∴a=

t

v−u

ora×t=v−u

or at = v - u or at + u = v

∴ v = u + at
