Amphoteric oxide means the oxide which have both acidic as well as basic behaviour.
e.g. Al2O3 and ZnO
When acidic
ZnO + NaOH ==> Na2ZnO2 + H2
When basic
ZnO + 2HCl ==> ZnCl2 + H2O
e.g. Al2O3 and ZnO
When acidic
ZnO + NaOH ==> Na2ZnO2 + H2
When basic
ZnO + 2HCl ==> ZnCl2 + H2O
