LHS:-

sin^4 - cos^4 tetha

=(sin^2 tetha)^2 - (cos^2 tetha)^2

=(sin^2 tetha - cos^2 tetha) (sin^2 tetha + cos^2 tetha)

=(sin^2 + cos^2 tetha = 1)

= (sin^2 tetha - cos^2 tetha)

= 1 - cos^2 tetha - cos^2 tetha

= 1 - 2cos^2 tetha

= RHS
