hey mate:

given here

x = tan[ 1/a(log y)]

so,

tan^-1(x)=(1/a)log y

differentiate with respect to x,

1/(1+ x^2)= 1/a(1/y)dy/dx

(1+x^2)dy/dx= ay

again ,diff. with respect to x,

(1+x^2)d^2y/dx^2+ 2x(dy/dx)= ady/dx

==>(1+x^2)d^2y/dx^2+dy/dx(2x-a)=0.

that's proved.

I hope its helps u.

please follow me!!✌️✌️
