If two triangles have the same base, and are between same parallel lines, their area will be equal

Step-by-step explanation:

theorem 9.2 of class 9

If two triangles have the same base, and are between same parallel lines, their area will be equal

Let say ΔABC  & ΔABD are triangle

Same base AB

CD ║ AB

now let draw perpendicular from C & D at AB

CM⊥AB   & DN⊥AN

as AB ║ CD

=> CM = DN

Area of  ΔABC  = (1/2) AB * CM

Area of  ΔABD  = (1/2) AB * DN

CM = DN

=> (1/2) AB * CM = (1/2) AB * DN

=> Area of  ΔABC  = Area of  ΔABD
