identities used here are,

 \frac{ \sin(e) }{ \cos(e) }  =  \tan(e)

and

 { \sin (e  ) \: }^{2}  -  { \cos(e) }^{2}  = 1 \\ or \:  \:  \:  \\  { \sin(e) }^{2}  - 1 =  { \cos(e) }^{2}  \\   \cos(e) =  \:  \sqrt{ { \sin(e) }^{2} - 1 }

now ,

taking RHS

and using identities,

 \frac{ \sin(e) }{ \sqrt{ { \sin(e) }^{2} - 1 } }  \\  =  \frac{ \sin(e) }{ \cos(e) }  =  \tan(e)
