This was my interview experience. It was a campus interview of TCS in 2016. After i cleared the technical round , i was called for the HR round.
I entered the HR room, and the conversation had started.
HR : how are you ,vimal?
Me : fine sir. How are you.
HR : i m good. So tell me more about your self?
Me : blah blah blah….same answer to all.
In that answer, I mentioned somewhere that i am honest.
HR : so you are honest. How can i trust you?
Me : thinking…
HR : ok, prove that you are honest in 1 minute and it should have to be original, not from your prepared answers

“You don't prove honesty. You accept it. You prove dishonesty. If you meet someone and they tell you their real name, you accept that. If you have reason to not believe them, you investigate to see if they are lying. You are looking for proof of dishonesty. When you find that they weren't dishonest, you are elated because your acceptance of their honesty was justified. If you find that they lied, you are upset because you proved that they are dishonest.”
“We are not offering you the job, sorry.”
“That's okay. Thank you for the consideration!”
**ONE WEEK LATER**
Interviewer looking at pile of mail: “What's this? A 'thank you,' card? From Errol Ragsdale? So he was being honest! Too bad I just hired someone else 2 minutes before opening this mail that's been sitting on my desk for 3 days! I guess he should've had a better, more convincing answer when he was here! Loser.”
I live on the streets and am never honest again!

Me : thinking ( What the hell, how can i… in one minute.. what to do, what to do…..) and suddenly an thought clicked.
I said sir, i am honest because I eat Tata salt.
(Since it was TCS interview, HR got impressed)
HR : have you read it somewhere?
Me : Yes sir, i read it on Quora. (I showed him the post.)
HR : do you know, you haven't answered my question originally. You failed.
Me : yes sir, but i showed you the original source . I accepted my failure honestly.
HR (with a smile) : hmm. Ok Vimal. Thanks. You may leave now.
Me : thanks sir.
