let x is an odd no.
that means it is not divisible by 2
now as x is not divisible by 2 therefore multiplication of 2 odd nos. is also not divisible by 2...this means x^2 is also not divisible by 2...hence x^2 is also odd...
3 is not divisible by 2 and 3^2 i.e. 9 is also not divisible by 2...and hence 3 and 9 both are odd...
