poetic device are used to provide a rhythm and illustrate a poem . They are:
 1.theme-The main idea or meaning of a text. 
2.imaginery-Words and phrases that appeal to the five senses.
3.sound-The poet uses rhyme and repetition to help the listener to understand the poem in detail.
4.lines-phrases or words in a paragraph
5.rhythm-The beat of a poem
