hotosynthesis is the process by which living plant cells containing chlorophyll, produce food substances from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of light energy. Plants release oxygen as a by-product during photosynthesis. All living organisms need food for living, animals obtain it from plants and plants make it themselves by this process. It is an important activity of all green plants which are able to synthesis food from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of chlorophyll and light energy.
