Provide information relating to photosynthesis
Answers
Answer:
Photosynthesis, the process by which green plants and certain other organisms transform light energy into chemical energy. During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

Ꮲhotosynthesis is the process by which living plant cells containing chlorophyll, produce food substances from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of light energy. Plants release oxygen as a by-product during photosynthesis. All living organisms need food for living, animals obtain it from plants and plants make it themselves by this process. It is an important activity of all green plants which are able to synthesis food from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of chlorophyll and light energy.

• Light dependent phase– In this phase light plays a key role. A series of chemical steps occurs in very quick succession initiated by light and therefore this is also known as Photochemical Phase.
• Light independent phase– This reaction do not require any light, and can occur simultaneously with the light reaction. As it can take place in dark it is also known as Dark phase (also called Biosynthetic phase)
